Suwon is in
south-central Gyeonggi-do, and borders on
Yongin-gun on the east, Hwaseong-gun on
the south and west, and Uiwang-si on the
north. The hub of Gyeonggi-do's
administration, the city covers 105.541
km2, and as of 1989 its population stood
at 605,225. There are 51 dongs under two
gus. (Dongs and gus are basic
administrative units.) City Hall is in
Ingye-dong, Gwonseon-gu
